I'm just back from our day trip to the Detroit area, home of the largest community of the Arab Diaspora. The Sunday Liturgy at Holy Dormition Basilica in Livonia was beautiful, lunch at al-Amani was okay (we should've hit the Thai place a couple of doors down :-/ ), and the Arab-American National Museum in Dearborn was very interesting. Good times today. Too much to write about now since I need to get up kind of early tomorrow to go to Ann Arbor, but the highlights were working all day in the Bookstore with Shar and going out shopping with Leah. Today was a good day. I started out in a very anti-social mood. I almost went to the Tridentine Mass at St. Joseph's (a Roman Catholic church in Jackson), but remembered it was All Saints of North America Sunday and went to Holy Ascension.
